Although I thought the Cadillac T car at the Chicago Auto Show looked
very cool, I had no idea the thing would be finishing 1-2 at Sebring
in its *first race*!  Not that old pal Randy Pobst wouldn't have been
able to beat them if his power steering *hadn't* failed, but ... 26th
wasn't dead last, was it?

Looks like some strange days ahead this season, with BMW, Audi, et
al., trying to catch up with - Cadillac?

I thought about you when I saw Pobst go off the track, since you had said
that you knew him.

I think the whole thing must be just a bad dream. Please let me wake up!

Don't forget that Audi had to give up some boost on the RS6 this year...

I wonder if Cadillac engineered that?

Then there's still Sebring 12 Hours... Audi R8's one, two, three....I feel
better now!

sh.t happens.  It's racing.  Randy won't let that bother him much.
;^)

Don't be an apologist.

Forget the conspiracy theories.  If IMSA was influenced, it took more
than one upstart team.  For a championship car, it's lots more likely
*everybody* (not mentioning any names, but their initials might be
'B.M.W.') complained.  Again, that's racing.  ;^)

I knew you would.  L8R.

Takes more than one race to make a legend.

catch-up?  OK, I don't follow racing, but I've read some of the hoopla
about the "Cadillac" (Opel Vectra) CTS-V with 5.7 liters and 400 HP--
and I say big deal.  Audi or BMW could get well over 400 HP out of
engines closer to 4 liters...and with nearly 6, they could get....

Just think what those boys at GM could do once they discover that more
than 2 valves can be put in a cylinder......
