Hi NG,
I'm from Germany and own an A3 8L Model 2000.
I really don't like the 2 different sized mirrors, but I like the
design. I really would like to have the smaller mirror also on the
drivers side, means here in Germany on the left side.
So I was wondering, if the UK-models will have the mirrors vice versa
mounted, meaning, if you have also 2 different sizes for the mirrors.
If yes, I could order an UK-mirror for the non driver side (smaller one)
and mount here on my drivers side.
Can anyone please confirm, that there are those different mirrors on the
UK models also.
TIA
Thomas

UK spec Audis usually have the larger mirror assemblies on both sides.
In any case, you will probably find that the shape of the housing would
be wrong for a left-hand drive car - resulting in the mirror glass being
at the wrong angle. As a test, sit in your front passenger seat and see
whether the driver's side mirror will adjust to give you a good view of
the side of the car. In addition, you may find that it would be illegal
to use the smaller mirror on the driver's side.

Yeah, but it would be cool though. Can't help but think it would be a
bit nose-heavy.......
