Guys.
I have just bought a Audi 80 1990 2.00E only cheap with 100k on the
clock When it is started up in the cold the idle speed is abit to high 2000
rpm it
will contine like this until warm normally about 5mins of driving

Took the idle valve off and gave it a good clean was dirty but not helped,

What I have noticed if I disconnect the cable from the ISCV the idle
speed go's normal ie 900ish rpm, and even if I reconnect it again while the
engines
running it will stay normal, until I restart the engine where it will go
high
again till about 5 minutes of driving

any ideas??

Mine does the same but only ~1500rpm.  Even when car is warm idle speed is
~1100rpm, please let me know if you found a fix.

Many thanks,

I have the same model and year Audi with similar issues. I don't know
the cause but suspect the computer. I also have a non-working cold
start valve but there is no Thermo-time sensor on this year car. It is
controlled by the computer. Thats why I think its the computer. I know
one thing for sure. Check the differential oil NOW if it is an auto
trans. Mine fried with 75K on it. OUCH! that hurt $$$$!
