Can anybody tell me how do you change the front indicator bulbs on an
Audi a6 1996

Do you have to take out the windscreen washer tank  or is there a
simpler way.

I thought they were a sealed unit?

Dear Audi chums. I solved this problem myself. You may like to make a
note in case you have same problem.

From under the bonnet bulbs are just about impossible to get at.

The trick is to remove the whole headlight/indicator cluster in one
go, then the bulbs are easy to get to.

There is a small piece or trim under the cluster. This has one screw
to remove, then wiggle the trim and pull gently till it comes off.

Look in the gap and there are two screws to undo. Carefully not to
drop them.

Then two screws at the top. If you are lucky these screws will leave a
mark for replacement, so lights will still be aligned.

Pull and wiggle whole cluster till it comes out a bit, then you can
get to the bulbs easily.

When putting back be carefully not to drop the screws as I did, then
had a job finding them. But now is all OK.

To change both bulbs took about 20 mins. Now they are orange again.

Hope this will be some hel[p to someone

Regards Digger
