Audi A6 1997 will start only after opening bonnett

Pls can anyone help, just bought A6 1997. No problem at first two days but
now It won't crank until I open bonnet first. Anybody for solution....

Weird.  One thing to try however is to have someone press down on the
close switch on the bonnet (whilst the bonnet is up) and try to start.
This is the switch that would sound the alarm if someone lifted the
bonnet and the car was locked.

If it now wont start then it sounds like you have a wiring short somewhere.
