1990 V8 quattro

I have a v8 quattro i just purchased and i cant figure out how to
change the mpg computer in the center of the insturment cluster is
there some button im not seeing or does all it show is mpg? any help
would be great

that model should be showing gpm.............

You will find a switch on the windshield wiper stalk that toggles between
different display choices.

Right end of windshield wiper stalk has a toggle that changes what
readout you are seeing from trip computer. Underneath this stalk is
another button - holding it in for a few seconds will reset whatever
reading you are looking at (MPG, Trip Time, Average Speed, etc.)
