99 A6 headlights yellow

The headlights on 99 A6 Avant have turned yellow. Is there any way to make
them clear again? other than replacing the assembly? Larry

they must be plastic rather than glass.

if so its due to UV light and pretty much nothing you can do other than
replace the units.
