OK, thanks. It seems to be running cold (about 55 deg C), but I'd
better check the temperature gauge before doing anything else.

Does the heater heat up the cabin? - Then its probably the gauge - the gauge
should read about 35-40 Ohms with warm engine.
(if you place a 39 ohm resistor over the wires to the gauge it should read
arround 90 deg C)
