I seem to remember that 4dr coupes did not have solid "fixed" frames
inbetween windows.
Kinda like the old big 4dr convertibles from the USA.
So I think of a 4dr coupe being a convertible but with a hard top.

Check out this picture of an Audi 4dr convertible.

notice that the window frames between the windows are not visible with the
windows down.
That is how the coupe will look but with a hardtop.
