The tool you are looking for is called a TriSquare (or various
variations thereof). It you use that term at a tool shop or car place
they should know what you are talking about.

For the record and anyone else who needs to extract the axles for cv work or
the transaxle, the LOBRO cap bolts are M10 12 point SPLINES. A long (75mm)
spline bit driver to 1/2" socket connect is handy too as it helps clear the
cv boot and reduces chance of boot damage. Japanese tool company SEK produce
one.

Warning: if the bolts have not been undone since new they will be very
tight. Clean out their head of all grime and road dirt to assist a good
fitting of the spline driver. Use a long breaker bar socket driver and
plenty of extension to clear the car's under pinnings and expect a shock to
the hands when the cap bolt lets go with a bang.

AKA "Star" bit, not to be confused with a "Torx" bit. Most of the parts
houses knew what a star bit was, but not a "spline" bit. Don't invest a
large sum on it, since it will probably become another use once tool like so
many others in my garage.

THe Tool you require is a Ko-ken 3020-100M10 in 3/8" drive or
4020-100M10 1/2" drive, The correct name for the fastener is XZN, it i
nothing like Torx, and there is no such fastener as a "star" this is
name used buy cheap tool companies to replace the name Torx as they d
not have a licence to make Torx or use the name Torx.....
