Car has been overheating for 2 wks and I knew Thermostat was f.cked as the
fan wasnt cutting in etc but I thought, Hey, ill fix the expansion tank my
self,
so I bought Plastic tank repair for $12.00, but in the end, I couldn't be
stuffed.....so,
I ll book it in and get the pro's to fix............
Next time, I'll make the time to fix myself........

Could have fabricated an aluminum tank for that.
I used to have stuff like that done by a radiator shop that did a LOT
of circle track work. I had one done for a Volvo for about a hundred
bucks. He used a truck aluminum A/C receiver dryer, cut it open, gutted
it, welded on fittings. Used all AN fittings and the semi-hard hose
used on military vehicles.

sounds like you took it to a dealer... even if you have a good indy,
don't let them get all the parts for you... my indy quoted me some
ridiculous price for M30 engine mounts, something close to $200 each,
but i called IMPARTS in victoria, $97.50 each.. bargain
