I have a 2002 registered 325Ci sport coupe, recently I attempted to
purchase replacement headlamps which included the angel eyes.. There
seems to be a lot of confusion among third party motor-factors who
supply these aftermarket parts, My BMW coincides with the 'facelift'
year, it is a '51 plate, the problem that seems to arise is concerning
the fitting of the front flasher lamps to these headlamps, my lamps are
the pre-facelift type, its a 2 door coupe ...so why all the fuss when I
try to locate these on eBay? There is a difference on the 2/4 door
models I know, but one manufacturer emailed me telling me that either
headlamp would be ok to fit!! so I replied, telling them that this
would be impossible, the front wing recess for the flasher lamps is
clearly a different shape along with the shape(s) of the flasher lamps,
and this has confused them!!!  The headlights have different 'fittings'
for either flasher lamp, I had these h/lamps fitted at the dealership
where I work, only for the tech to realise that the flasher lamps would
not 'join' to the headlamps!! arghhh!
Any ideas on how to get a pair of Angel eye h/lamps without all the
fuss would be greatly appreciated...

EBay sellers often are unable to clearly represent items they're selling
accurately, and buyers are also unable to discover if the item they're
buying is the right one.

Established parts houses are less likely to have this problem:

I looked at these angel eye replacement too.  Looks pretty complicated.
Like removing the glass cover and resealing it etc.
