...and they suck (the aftermarket ones). Unfortunately, you should have
found one with the factory HIDs if that is what you wanted.

bimmerpartswholsale.com and autopartswarehouse.com list the Xenon
headlight assembly for US$273.95 each and the bulbs for US$105.95
each for a total under US$800.00. The headlight assemblies are OEM
from Italy and the bulbs are Osram/Sylvania OEM however the Italy OEM
throws me off a bit unless the OEM headlight assemblies are outsourced
other than a German manufacturer.

So really how far off target was I £100 GB Pounds or $200 US/CDN ish
BMW do actually outsource parts from Non German makers - some of their cars are
built in the US sourcing parts from local suppliers and some are built in China
too not to mention those built in South America Brazil for one...... Actually at
one time in the long distant past the British TRIUMPH Dolomite was rebadged BMW
and remember BMW bought ROVER (sic - AUSTIM, MORRIS, BMC, BLMC, BL, Land
Rover/Rover (hence the X3 & X5) only to get the numbers 100, 200, 400, 800)

Great. You can buy that stuff but you aren't even close to being done.
You'll need balasts, ignitors and other wiring and the self leveling
motors, etc.
