Any ideas on fixing this problem  please advise, thanks in advance

The Problem:-
Have replaced the halogen Headlights on an E46 BMW 3 car - problem with
orange indicator light (next to headlight)

only problem is have noticed that sometimes the left indicator orange
light  (next to the headlight powers up) stays lit when putting on the
number 1
lights.
- It did the same to the right indicator light (next to the headlight)  2
days before when putting on the number 1 lights
Both of these 2 problems have never happeneed at the same time
......................for both problems the orange permanently  lit
indicator light turns off when the number 2 lights are powered on
......................for both problems the orange light works ok as a
left or right indicator

from earlier postings I have tried to replace the orange indicator light
completely , this helps in that the problem occurs less frequently but
nevertheless the problem still seems to occur on start up almost all the
time but the indicator light goes off quicker

Have also replaced the whole unit for the problem indicator light, but the
original problem still remains but less
frequent than before

Previous posts suggest its an earth problem

Any suggestions on how to remove the earth connections behind the indicator
light and what not to do?

If changing the bulbs doesn't help, I think it may need a new LCM $$$. But
before that, if you have changed the whole headlamp unit , it's worth
checking if everything on the headlamp (including level adjuster) is working
fine.  My indicator stayed lit once when I did my xenon retrofit which I
forgot to connect the headlamp.
