I have a Garmin 680 and love it. Quick route calculations (generally very
good), Voice, Bluetooth, MP3 player and (nice if you live in a major metro
area) MSN. It'll output to the aux input of a late model BMW.

I think the TomTom was rated best value by Consumer Reports. I have one
and it works absolutely great - saves time. I wanted a device than just
does what it is supposed to and not a whole lot of things not related to
getting me where I want to go.

I still use my Nokia phone running TomTom with an external bluetooth GPS.
It's more convenient to not have to worry about another device. Instead
just run an app on the phone which I always carry anyway. The screen could
be bigger, but most of the time I just listen to voice commands anyway.
Works fine.
