recharge my 88 325 A/C?

This is an R12 unit? Is there something I can buy in a can at CarQuest
or similar that will get things cold again? Sorry if this is dumb.

They sell FR4012 Freeze-12 replacement for R12 in 12oz cans.
Used it in my 90 Nissan and it worked great.

AC systems don't just need recharging for no reason.  They need recharging
because they leak.

Some systems with old seals need recharging every season or two.  This was
fine when R12 was cheap, but it's not so fine any more.

Almost certainly if you have left the system for a season without a charge,
it will be time to change the dessicator.

Take it in to an auto AC service center and let them see if they can find
all the leaks.
