I have an '03 M3 that lost the trim that runs along the roof line on
the passenger side from the front windscreen trim to the rear window
trim. It's the approximatly one inch strip that runs between the sun
roof and the top of the door frame.

Don't ask me how, but it detached itself and blew down the side of a
mountain the other day. I really wasn't going that fast.

I've purchased the replacement from BMW and will have it painted
carbon schwartz by a body shop.

Does anyone know of a website that explains the installation with
photos or am I best off having the body shop do the installation given
I've not done this sort of thing before?

hello ,
i also drive an M3 and am familiar
with the strip .
personally , i'd use someone who KNOWS what
they're doing . it's very easy to damage the
new strip .
if it's not on correctly , your new strip will
meet the same fate as the old one .

Thanks, I had pretty much come to that same conclusion after
inspecting the trim and the thin weather stripping that comes with it.
