Just a thought. Prior to "NO SMOKING" on airplanes - and I am talking years ago
- they used a solution of COLD water and DAZ (laundry detergent) to remove
nicotine stains from the cabin surfaces.
Might work for make-up.
Another thought is thank god your wife uses make-up. Have you looked at the
dogs that don't care what they look like ----------

there is a product called " Goo Gone "
which is sold in hardware stores and works or
a good detail shop should be able to
steam vacuum it out .
