It happened again this morning and this time when I pulled over to the
shoulder of the road and sat a moment...pulled out again...it
continued.

Noticed that there is a "throbbing" resistance as though a caliper may
be not totally disengaged from the rotor.

Could this be it?

Several mechanics cannot find the problem previously.  Of course they
were checking suspension and/or tires.

Any remarks would be appreciated.

Could be a partially stuck caliper. Check the color difference between
discs. The blueish one is the faulty one, or it could also be a too tight
adjustment of your parking brake. This is, of course if it's a brake related
problem.

Good luck
Sylvain

Ye gods. You cold have saved about $1000 if you'd bought the parts
mail order, an they'd be the same parts.

Pads, about $60, rotors about $50 unless you want fancy ones which
are still under $100.
