When I was driving today a noise came from the steering (inside the car). It
was like a clicking noise, something catching. The only thing I can put it
down to is the steering lock some how?
has anyone else had this sort of problem?
Also still on steering, my steering goes heavy sometimes when I turn the
steering wheel left and right. I was told that this could be the steering
pump?
once again anyone had this sort of problem?

I'll be getting the timing belt done in 2 weeks what should I ask when I
take to Autobahn?

Just to add to this good list of ideas
My car was pulling to the left due to a partly siezed brake caliper.
To check - jack up the front end and spin the front wheel on either
side. They should both spin freely and not be too difficult to spin
