... change the body style on their vehicles. Especially curious about 3
series. I know the current one came out in 2001.

Does anyone know when the next change is planned to come out? Or a guess?

First 3-series (E21) came out '75
Second (E30) '83 (facelifted '88)
Third (E36) '91
Fourth and current (E46) '98 (facelifted '01)
and Fifth one is supposed to come out next year.

So, body style changes every ~7 years.
