Hi,

I just purchased a 2001 BMW X5 3.0i.  The vehicle is in awesome condition,
but it didn't come with the original owner's manual (it *did* come with the
CD/stereo manual).

Does anyone know where I can pick up a manual?

Thanks!

You can download the manual from the BMW web site.

www.bmwusa.com, find the link to owner's circle, enter the VIN number
when asked...

I'm sure you can also call BMWUSA and ask for a copy.

BMW no longer gives them out free, but the charge is not usually high,
assuming the book is still available.

Many of the older models (5 years old or more) are already out of print and
no longer available through BMW.  Also, there's a very good chance that the
one you get through BMW NA will be a photocopy.  OK if you only want it to
read, not so if you want to get your car "correct".

I'd be very surprised if a dealer couldn't order one for such a recent
vehicle.

I had the same problem. I found a like-new manual on Ebay for about
$18.00US.  Then I found I could have picked one up at my local parts-supply
store for about $14.00US.
