Oil leaking into Air Filter Compartment

I was recently doing some maintenance and noticed that oil has dripped
down the air breather and into into my air filter compartment.  I've
started researching  what could cause this, and from some posts that I
have read it sounds like it could be caused by a faulty pcv, a "blow
by" effect, and worn seals causing a vacume leak.

Here's what I know.  I know that I need to replace my cyclinder head
gasket and oil pan gasket because they are worn and both leak
occasionally.  I had a compression test done a year ago when I bought
the car and everything was fine. I also drive from sea level to 8,500
ft fairly often for weekend trips.

Any ideas where I should start looking to try and correct this
problem, and how much of a problem is it?
Thanks.
