Hi All,
I have a '98 328i sedan w/ stock 15" wheels. One was bent from a pothole.
It holds air fine. I didn't actually notice the problem until I changed
over to my snow tires in December. The dealer can't repair it. A
replacement from them is $335.
My question is this: Is there any problem with replacing it with a
replica, available online at a little over half the price? Are there
quality/weight issues to be taken into account?
Thanks for any advice.

Lots of people will just keep the bent rim in the trunk as the spare. This
strategy keeps the spare out of the tire rotation pattern, but that should
be OK.

You should be able to get a set of used stock alloys WITH tires on them
(bottle cap style) for $335!!! or less

When I took a chunk out of one of my stock alloys on my '94 E36 I just
picked up a set off eBay for ?60 (around $100) (set of 4 including harly
worn tyres). Now I have 3 spares for next time I catch a kerb or a hole ;)

Yep, 15" wheels are cheap as chips in the UK.
