BMW currently only list the Nokia 6310 and 8910/i (only versions 3.75 and
above) as being fully compatible with the bluetooth system they install.
Have any of you got a BMW installed bluetooth system and use another phone
other than the two listed above - that are FULLY compatible with the
controls.

By fully compatible, l mean the abilty to scroll through the phone address
book, as well as dial and end calls via the steering wheel controls.

I am in the UK.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, l am only saying what the salesman told me.  To be
honest l was surprised that only two phones were fully compatible.  I would
have thought a lot more.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

Here is a link from Circle BMW (USA), which has the full user manual online,
as well as a current BMW list of approved phones:
  http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/blue/blue.htm

Don't know if this list would also apply to UK, but would think so. The
carriers would obviously be different in UK, but that shouldn't have
anything to do with the Bluetooth implementation.

I just had the BT kit installed in my 330i, but it is not working yet (see
my Bluetooth thread if interested). Some kind of install glitch, to be
sorted out on Monday, I hope. But my phone is a Sony Ericsson T616, one of
the BMW-recommended, fully-compatible phones.
