The middle of 2005 is the best guess, so far. Though as with previous
3ers, the E46 (current chassis/bodystyle) may continue for a while in
touring, coupe and/or convertible guise for a while after.

No idea. It depends on the spec, your deposit (if any), the dealer,
whether you have to order it, where you are etc.

Stripper 325i's are leasing for $299 per month - I think there's a several
thousand downpayment required.

I got rough estimates from the bmw website... in my case www.bmw.ca.
Cheers.

BMWFS was offering a .009 money factor on E46's this year. I don't know if
that is still available, but it was the lowest I have ever seen for any BMW
model. If it is still being offered I suspect it will be eliminated shortly
as BMW sounds like it is going to adjust pricing and conditions to
accomodate the current disparity between the dollar and euro.
As far as the new models go, I don't think anyone can offer even a rough
estimate of what leasing costs will be because who can see that far into the
future and accurately estimate what the dollar/euro ratio will be, what the
US national prime lending monies will be costing, what sales levels any
manufacturer will be hitting in 16 months or what the general health of the
global economy will be. BMW residuals that are historically very high, are
said to be coming down in the future as a way for BMW to ward off a glut of
residual exposure.

Sorry about this, but that factor was .0009
