Hi I am picking up my new M3 tomorrow afternoon in luguna seca blue with
luguna seca blue interior, it was a long wait but its finnally going to be
may 14th and four and a half months of waiting are over.  does anyone no if
its true that you can do 170mph in 5th gear even if the limiter is still
restricted to 155mph in 6th?.

Good to hear that you'll be running the car in gently at first. Hope I'm
nowhere near you on the roads tomorrow...

Actually, I think he should find out if 5th can do a *170mph*, only then
will he know....

Why don't you just try it and let us know? (-;

How did a person who writes and spells like you do ever get enough
money to buy a new M3?

What is someone as closed minded as YOU doing on a BMW forum? You're
clearly never going to make it either.

Ever considered it's not his first language?
You monolinguistic fools depress the hell out of me.

You're new around here, aren't you? Closed mindedness is what USENET
is made of!

Assuming somebody that signs his name as ken.macmurdie and has an NTL
address (NTL is a cable provider in the UK) has English as his first
language is quite reasonable. Besides that excuse is really lame, and
it bugs some of us for whom English is not our first (or second)
language either.

Ok, so seeing as I'm Scottish, does that mean that English is my second
language as well?

Actually, I was following a long-standing tradition in this forum of
flaming the poster for some irrelevant detail in his post, and
completely ignoring the question he asked. Happens to me all the time!
(I normally make legitimate posts, but under another name.)

No.  Not in the Laguna Seca blue ones, the color is too ugly.  Only the
black or red ones go that fast.

My 03 M3 Convertible (US) is limited to 155MPH. I had my wife try to keep up
with me in my well massaged Vette and the BMW has an electronic cut off
above that speed in 6 gear. I have tried to find software that will change
the limit but I'm now willing to pay what they want for it. In all reality
there is nowhere to drive more than 100 much less 155. Too many idiots of
the road.
