OK I give up! How to lower the headrest

It's permanently raised and I cant see any way to lower it, no matter how
hard I push.  Whats the trick!!??!!

Not sure about your 528, but on my E46, there is a release button built into
the trim plate on the left side of the left headrest support (where it
enters the seat).  Push the button and the headrest will easily slide down.

Well, if you have power seats, they're electric.  The knob that adjusts the
backrest forward and back also can be pushed up and down - that raises and
lowers the headrest.  At least it does on my E39 540.

It's a power headrest. Use the seatback button and pull up to raise and push
down to lower the headrest.

Now, can you find the headrest tilt?

Ok so I'm a moron.  They are power headrests.  Thanks everyone!
