Need to replace the gas tank, has leak on the top..... Looking at the tank it
looks like I have to drop the exhuast system... What level of toughness is this
to do for a basic menchanic????

Thanks in advance

My E30 needed this last year. You need to drop the driveshaft too (new
centre bearing isn't a bad idea here). Some of the bolts can be a pig to
get out. As a rule of thumb anything that's under the car is left to my
mechanic as I don't have a proper lift. It's no fun saving a few $ by
doing this job yourself.
