I installed a set of Raybestos Professional Grade pads on my '94 325i. They
are MUCH cleaner than whatever I took off. Did I say MUCH CLEANER? The
difference is night and day.

I have Pagid pads on my '94 525i.
The wheels seem to stay reasonably clean, compared to my Toyota GT4 with EBC
pads.

My experience with Pagids has been they throw a lot of dust. Good
pads, just a lot of dust.

Not compared to the EBC's on my GT4 they don't. :-)

Discs could make a difference. AFAIK the ones on my 525 are not OEM.
They were on the car when I baught it, and the bill doesn't say the make.
Brakes are still very good though, so they're a good match for the pads.
Without, IMO, creating a lot of dust.

I used pagid "fast road" - less dust & MUCH better stopping.

mintex, PBR and Axxis are all the same company, just different formulas
for best non-dust application use carbon metalic that is formulated with
carbon fibres
not carbon dust.

EBC green stuff are good pads, and will keep your wheels clean.

...at about twice the cost of similarly performing other manufacturer
pads.
YMMV,

Well, one could say, with some accuracy, that Rice Krispies, Corn
Flakes, and Fruit Loops are all the same company, just different
formulas, also.
The resulting products are quite different.

I'm running Axxis Deluxe pads. SO much better (cleaner) than stock.
I think if I were to buy a new BMW, the first thing I'd do is take-off
those horribly-dirty stock pads.

Yes, these are also marketed as PBR Deluxe Plus. Axxis = PBR = a
division of Bendix.

I have used Mintex Red, Pagid, and PBR Deluxe .
My preference for street is the Mintex, followed by the PBR's
