Just picked up an e34 520i SE touring this morning.

Drives well only two glitches have popped up

the computer says it -37C outside (which it isnt) and the heater does'nt
seem to heat the footwells.... clears the screen ok though.

Any ideas where to look?

-37C is because the external temp sensor is disconnected. It lives near
the lower front spoiler, possibly in a brake cooling duct.

Do you get ANY air into the footwells? I'm gusssing your microfilter /
pollen filter is ancient and needs repalcing.

Hi John,

Thanks for that .. I've scoped the part details of the sensor from the
ETK CD and they look to be about 15 quid or so .. but I'll check if its
disconnected first ...

There did'nt seem to be a lot of movement in the footwells ...again
thanks for the pointer I'll check our the microfilter.

We have spoken previously , about 4 years + ago.

I had a 530i SE e34, then an e32 750iL back then, don't know if you
recall?

Regards
