   Who's got the better system, Honda or BMW? Variable timing on intake and
exhaust cams with the same duration and lift vs. switching to a higher
duration and higher lift cam at a fixed RPM?

Vtec is still either all open or closed,
Double vanos is infinitely variable - more precise, cover complete engine
range, way more torque, especially low end and better fuel economy all at
the same time.
