Here's some photos of my E24 instrument binnacle in-situ in the car. This
is what I'm looking at right now. My SII batteries are rooted so I need to
remove it. My question is how do I remove it?

I know I have to lower the steering column to do it and I've done this, but
where are the mounting screws for the binnacle itself. I don't wanna break
anything getting it out.

Look from below. There are two screws above the glass panel. You'll find
screws at the sides under the little filler panels. I THINK there are
also screws holding the bottom to the rail in front (which the steering
column goes into).

It IS possible to do this without dropping the steering column, I've
done it that way myself.

No there aren't. You're thinking E28. I have both so I know.

No it isn't. You're still thinking E28. The E24 steering column must be
dropped to get the binnacle out. Even removing the steering wheel is not
enough, you have to lower the column.

Thanks for that. That did it.
