Anyone know of an inexpensive OBD hardware & software kit suitable for
a Windows XP pc to a 1996 e34 520i available in the UK?

Carsoft want loads of money for a garage system.

Ebay seems to have loads of OBD2 options but no OBD1 systems.

I am also looking for an ODB1 20 pin "Euro" socket diagnostic tool. A couple
popped up on eBay, but I do not know anything about them.

Go to
http://www.motors.ebay.com/
and search for
BMW diagnostic interface

And here is one (url may wrap)

Anyone got experience with any of these tools/cables with E39? Software any
good?
