87 735 blower relay?

Where is this located and is it an easy fix?

The AC compressor still kicks on but no air movement at all and
definitely no cooling effect.

It's controlled by a transistor, not a relay. I seem to recall you can
access it (just) from the side of the centre console. You'll find a fair
bit written about this problem on the E24 six series, it's almost
identical.
