I just bought a 1995 325 convertible. I want to install a factory BMW CD
changer in the trunk and found a used one locally at a good price. However
it came out of a hard top model 1995 E36 and it was mounted upwards to the
top of the trunk panel, whereas the mounting screw holes on my convertible
go downwards. Is there a replacement bracket I can get or is a special CD
changer required for the convertible?

Also, if anyone has any good tips for a new owner of this particular
vehicle, I would be most grateful. I plan on scanning the newsgroups and
joining any appropriate forums in the very near future. Are there any clubs
where like minded members get together to actually work on the cars? Mine
certainly has some issues that I need to take care of myself, but I would
like to enlist the aid of people who have worked on these cars before. I am
in Santa Monica, CA.

Thanks again

Dan

Yes, but not the answer to the question I asked. Which is why I asked it
here.

so sorry, I mistook this as a question:
