I have a '92 525i and the bulbs on the OBC went out recently, however the
BC stalk switch on the steering column now doesn't work. Usually you can
see info displayed on the dash when you depress the button, but nothing
happens. I can see the display in the OBC when I shine a flashlight into
it, so I know its functioning. I also traced the fuses and they are all
good. Any ideas? Thanks!

Bulb probably need replacing.
I had a similar problem on my '94 525i mileage and trip display.
Could see the display with a light. Fitted a new bulb and it was back to
normal visibility.
Mike.
