front blinker on 2001 325I

How do remove the headlight in order to clean the inside cover of the
headlight and replace the front bulb of the blinker?

You can't AFAIK.  The inside is mostly sealed - the entire headlamp
unit is one piece and the only entry is the bulb holes, I believe.

The blinker assembly is released by pressing down the locking bar/lever,
in a hole next to the front fender after raising the hood.  The first time
you
have to be shown, after that it's easy.
