The St. Louis BMW Club is holding a national BMW event here in March of
2006. I'm in charge of finding vendors to do presentations to the
attendees (we're expecting between 250 and 500 people for the 4-day
event). I would like to find a company here in the US (preferably in
the Midwest) that is a wizard with BMW electronics.....I'm looking for a
company that knows about:
Bluetooth technology
Customized audio equipment
Customized video equipment
Add-on electronic equipment (garage door openers, house lights)
Heads-up displays
Lighting products
Navigation systems
Performance chipping your car
This event here in St. Louis will have a huge vendor display area with
individual break-out sessions to discuss (teach) various topics along
different avenues of interest. People can go to any or all of the
individual sessions depending upon their own personal choice:
Racing
Car detailing
Performance upgrades
Electronics
The intent of a BMW Electronics speaker is to educate the students, not
to sell to the students. But this would be a great way to get the
teacher's name out to this group of BMW fanatics.....sales will, I'm
sure, result from this.
Anybody know any companies or individuals who could do this type of
BMW-specific electronics presentation?

Have you asked Jim Conforti? I believe he was a speaker at the last
Gateway tech session.
Alternatively, you may want to consider asking Mark D'sylva of EAT
chips. He's a big hit on the E34 5 series board and very helpful. The
only downside is he's in Canada and may not want to come down to speak:

Last, how about Steve Dinan or maybe one of his electronic "wizs"?
