Warning gong starts sounding with no alert on screen.  Today it went on for
1 hour even after car was stopped & locked.  Any help would be gratefully
received.

I know, when the temperature gets close to freezing, you would here
that  sound.  However, hearing it for 1 hour?  I don't know.  Let us
know if you find out the cause.
