I've installed a new BMW cruise control kit. It is 'plug and play',
with the exception that the computer must now be coded to recognise the
cruise. Is there any other way to recode the car without having to use
the DIS tester? (and paying the dealer @$97.50/Hr.!!!). Thanks for any
and all suggestions.

Not easily. You can call around to see if any independents have the
AutoLogic box with the BMW module..

Other than that - see dealer.
