Somewhat hard to describe without a picture.  You put a screwdriver into
the notch on the top and pull the handle toward the front of the car.

It's quite easy to see how it works if you buy a couple of new ones at
the dealer - they have a plastic 'rachet' thingy so really do not hold
up well being opened and closed, anyway.  Couple of times is ok, but
after that they need replacement.

The directions in the Bentley manual you haven't bought yet say to "push
down and pull forward to release clip."

You seriously need to go to Barnes & Noble and buy a book from Robert
Bentley Publishers that covers your car.
