Can BMW look at the computer and determine when the car was started the
day it was stolen?

There is 1 suspect that says the car was in the driveway all day until
around 10pm, but he didn't see it in the morning. The police suspect
the car was driven around during the day/early evening because of
contents in the vehicle.

What exactly can BMW determine by diagnosing the computer?

Thanks all,
CJH

I don't think BMW's this age had engine computers that knew what day it was.
Sure the dash computer did, but does it track trips?

BTW ring up BMW and ask them - usually pretty helpful
