E46 central locking issue

The car is a 200 323i. The locking system stopped working on the driver's
door only. Well, it works partially. I can LOCK all doors with the remote
key but when I try to UNLOCK all doors unlock (including trunk) except the
driver's door. I have to unlock manually with key. Same thing with internal
locking switch... will LOCK all doors and UNLOCK all except the driver's
door.

Also, when trying to LOCK all doors using the key manually (not the remote)
the doors will not lock.

I suspect a faulty driver's door actuator/motor. Any ideas of a different
possible cause?

i am having the same problem. I am surfing the net for info. little
while ago I did read something about this before I had the problem, I
know there is a fix somewhere. I will try to find the fix and will let
you know.
