Woman in jail after crash that killed two
A 27-year-old woman is behind bars after she lost control of her SUV
Saturday morning resulting in the death of her baby daughter and
boyfriend.

ANAHEIM - The 27-year-old woman who lost control of her SUV while
exiting the westbound 91on Saturday is behind bars for the death of
her baby daughter and boyfriend.
Tomeka C. Harris, of Orange, was arrested on felony driving under the
influence of drugs, felony vehicular manslaughter and misdemeanor
being under the influence of a control substance, said Officer Stacy
Willits, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol.
Harris was released Sunday -- on the day of what would have been her
daughter's second birthday -- is scheduled to appear Tuesday at the
North Justice Center in Fullerton for an arraignment hearing.
Alfred Flores, 27, of Santa Ana and Zharia Keheian, 2, were pronounced
dead at the scene after suffering severe head trauma. Harris was taken
to the hospital after she complained of neck, hip, back and left
shoulder pain, Willits said.
The fatal crash occurred Saturday morning after Harris lost control of
her Mitsubishi Montero Sport while exiting the westbound 91 onto South
Raymond Avenue.
"For undetermined reasons, (Harris) allowed her vehicle to veer to the
left and subsequently drive off the roadway," according to a CHP
report.
The SUV then struck the raised curb of the off-ramp, a chain link
fence and a steel utility pole, Willits said.

Good. If she was driving impaired, she deserves to rot in jail.
