Police say woman was walking toward others to exchange information,
jumped into one of the other cars and took off.

SANTA ANA Three women were involved in a minor traffic collision on
the 55 freeway this morning, but when one of them walked up to
exchange her information with the rest, she stole one of the vehicles
instead, authorities said.
Authorities believe the vehicle the woman was driving at the time of
the accident was also stolen, from a garage in Corona.
The accident occurred at 7:52 a.m., said California Highway Patrol
officer Denise Quesada.
The woman police are looking for, believed to be 35 to 40 years old,
was driving a 1993 Honda Accord south on the 55 freeway just north of
the Dyer Road exit, said CHP officer Jennifer Hink.
Joanna Chan, a 27-year-old resident from Tustin, was driving in front
of the woman when she suddenly stopped. The woman was not able to
brake in time and crashed into the Mini Cooper that Chan was driving,
Hink said. The impact caused Chan to crash into a blue Toyota Camry in
front of her, which was being driven by 24-year-old Emily Nguyen of
Anaheim.
The three women pulled off to the right shoulder to exchange
information. Chan and Nguyen were already talking when the woman
started to approach them with paperwork in her hand. She talked to
them for a few minutes, the jumped into Camry, where Nguyen had left
the keys in the ignition.
The woman continued driving south on the 55 freeway, Hink said. She is
described as being about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 130 pounds, and
wearing slacks and a coat.
When CHP officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the Accord the
woman was driving was reported stolen in Corona about two hours
earlier.
A resident of Corona reported the vehicle stolen from the garage. The
resident left the door open and the engine running to run inside the
house for a second, Hink said.

Why do I not feel sorry for *either* of those people who had their car
stolen?
