Although Truckers are notorious for pulling out in front of oncoming
traffic, I'm not so sure we can blame the Trucker for this one.

BTW, if your last name was "Colon," wouldn't you be down at the
courthouse on your 18th birthday getting that name legally changed to
smoething else? I can only imagine the ribbing this guy must get in
the locker room at the police station...

Driver smashes into rear of semi
Early-morning crash forced lane closures near East Dyer Road and Main
Street in Santa Ana.

SANTA ANA - A 21-year-old man is in critical condition this morning
after he slammed into the back of a semi at a high rate of speed,
police say.

The accident occurred about 4:43 a.m. at 100 E. Dyer Road, near Main
Street, said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Stephen Colon.

The initial investigation revealed that the semi was pulling out of a
driveway onto Dyer and started heading east. That's when a Honda
Civic, also traveling east, crashed into the rear of the truck, Colon
said.

"He was going very fast and left a large amount of skid marks," Colon
said. "He saw the truck, stepped on the brakes and skidded, but didn't
stop on time."

The impact left the Civic wedged under the truck and firefighters
extricated the driver from the crumpled car. He was taken to a
hospital with critical injuries, Colon said.

I think the trucker may be to blame. Many a MFFY trucker pulls out in
front of traffic with no regard to anyone. For instance:

Of course. But to be fair, the point of collision was on the very back
end of the truck, meaning the Trucker had enough time to pull
completely out onto the road before being hit. This *should* have
given the riceboy plenty of time to see the truck in his path and stop
safely.

But figuring that rice boy has his mind on either a) talking on
cellphone, b) text messaging on cellphone c) playing with GPS unit
(possiblly on his celphone) d) playing with boyfriend's unit or e)
watching movie on either the dash unit or cellphone, it comes as no
surprise that something like an articulated lorry would be beyind the
range of his attention, cloaked or not.

Don't know if GPS is teaching a racing school, but he sure seems to be
doing a superb job of teaching the truckers how to use that cloaking
device. ;)
