Some guy delivering furniture in an 18-wheeler has closed Interstate 5
in northern San Diego County, near Camp Pendleton. The truck crashed and
has been on fire for some time now. In a move that has only happened a few
times, the Marines opened the roads through Camp Pendleton as a detour, but
only for those closest to the I-5 closure at Harbor Blvd. The driver was
allegedly drunk and has been arrested.

This is as reported by KOGO-AM 600 about a half-hour ago, and KNSD-TV39 just
now (I'm watching TV39 as I type this, and it's a few minutes after 6pm.)

It's all fun and games until someone starts a bonfire in the living room.

Man, that's nasty.  Had you posted this on r.a.d. you would likely have
had plenty of input from...need I say more?

I posted on MTR, so I'm sure I will anyhow.

Actually, that particular troll doesn't even read this newsgroup.  It
just has the nasty habit of taking existing, or starting new threads,
that are on-topic for r.a.d., and cross-posts them to a number of
unrelated groups, including this one.

IOW, if you start a driving related thread here, it's very unlikely
that the troll will even know of it.  Now, OTOH, there are times it
appears that the troll has spotted a thread in this group, but the two
cases I know of are related to driving related threads that I spotted
here and redirected to r.a.d.

What are you trying to say there, Misery?

My comment was related to a notorious cross-poster who changes names
more often than we change our shorts (who apparently thinks the bolt in
the speed limit sign should be interpreted as a decimal point).

Correction. Watched the 11 O'clock news and it was someone who was allegedly
using drugs, not alcohol. The talking heads didn't say whether pot, meth or
something else.
