For one thing, never use an email address in news groups that isn't
junk. If your IP address is dynamic then get in the habit of powering
off when not in use.  You will most likely get different IP addresses
each time you power up.

Use spamgourmet for maximum ( 100% ) email address protection.
Use an nntp client that enables super fast header deletes such as
Agent.

I altered your email address in my reply but I usually don't bother to
take the time.
