Howdy folks, don't normally frequent this 'ere newsgroup but figured
this is the best place to get my problem sorted.

I recently bought a car which is fitted with a Kenwood audio system
consisting of a KRC-379R head unit and KDC-C504 10-stack CD unit.

The radio works okay (well pretty well okay) but it doesn't recognise
the CD unit is connected. I've checked everything in the head unit
manual but can't sort it.

Any of you professors have a clue or do I have to resort to the local
(flippin' expensive) Kenwood dealer?

There should be a reset button on the front face of the KRC unit
It is usually a small hole that you need a pencil or toothpick to press the
button.
On the KDC look inside the door for the same type of button.
If that doesn't work or you can not find the reset on the KDC
try unplugging it for about 15 seconds and reconnecting it and see if that
resets it

Cheers e-nigma, I'll give that a try :-)
